Job Description

TRADE COMPLIANCE MANAGER TCR4470

HIGH LEVEL OVERVIEW

The Trade Compliance Manager will lead the business unit trade compliance organization for a large multi-national matrix company. This position will work closely with Corporate Trade Compliance COE to deploy policies & procedures ensuring operational effectiveness across the business unit. This is a hybrid position for candidates in Elmira NY area.

Relocation assistance is available.

EXPECTATIONS

  • Champion trade compliance optimization and efficiency
  • Manage Country of Origin and valuation programs
  • Build trade compliance strategy for region and business unit
  • Streamline customs clearance time to help reduce lead time
  • Evaluate duty savings opportunities
  • Monitor changes in import and export regulations
  • Partner with other trade compliance groups across the organization at various levels
  • Lead cross-functional projects to support trade compliance
  • Foster a strong culture for team development

ESSENTIALS

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations including HTS Country of Origin & valuation
  • Customs Brokers License required
  • Bachelors Degree required
  • 8 years Trade Compliance experience with 2 years people leadership experience
  • SAP GTS Experience preferred
  • Experience with Canada and Mexico customs
  • Solid understanding of Free Trade Agreements and Export Compliance
