Job Description

The Director Global Marketing Strategy & Transformation role is accountable for the development and management of the integrated strategy and overall planning for Manulifes Marketing function. The Director of Global Marketing Strategy & Transformation champions the strategic goals of Marketing and influences the direction and focus via the thoughtful analysis and presentation of current state firm strengths/challenges industry/market trends and competitive research. The Director of Global Marketing Strategy & Transformation understands the current state and future vision and is able to partner with business lines to define a holistic approach to achieve results.

Specifically in the Global Marketing function the Strategy team works across the companys businesses and geographies to support senior management in developing Manulifes long-term marketing function strategy and the execution of key strategic initiatives. This includes supporting strategic implementation across our portfolio of Global Marketing capabilities -- Digital Transformation NPS Brand Digital Marketing Advanced Analytics and AI Human-Centred Design Innovation Sustainability and Community Investment/Sponsorship. Team members have access to a unique vantage point to participate and shape our transformation to become a digital customer leader.

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage large complex strategic initiatives for Global Marketing ensuring end-to-end delivery and realization of business benefits.
  • Drive data-informed decision-making by scoping analyzing and resolving key strategic issues and presenting actionable insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to shape and refresh strategies that position the organization competitively and drive differentiation.
  • Influence and align key stakeholders enabling early trade-offs and strategic decisions through effective communication and leadership.
  • Lead competitive intelligence and external research efforts to align strategies with market trends and consumer needs.
  • Mentor motivate and develop team members to build a high-performing future-ready organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field with 10 years of experience in corporate strategy and transformation roles ideally within Financial Services consulting or investment banking.
  • Proven strategic thinker with strong analytical and financial acumen; adept at solving complex problems and applying a broad range of strategy tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership through clear persuasive communication and well-supported recommendations.
  • Collaborative self-motivated and adaptable with a strong track record of delivering results in diverse global and cross-functional environments.
  • Experience in AI-driven initiatives is highly desirable; some travel may be required

Salary range is expected to be between

$105750.00 CAD - $190350.00 CAD
