Job Description: Program Lead Teacher

Noahs Ark was established in June 2003 to meet the needs of Christian childcare in the community and outlying areas. We are a state-licensed not-for-profit religious organization. Our open-door policy welcomes all to our nondenominational center seeking a loving and caring childcare setting. Noahs Ark is licensed for 50 children and may enroll children anytime throughout the year as spots are available. We offer programs for children from 4 weeks through 12 years.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging educational programs for children aged 4 weeks to 12 years.
- Ensure adherence to state licensing requirements and organizational policies.
- Lead a team of assistant teachers and provide ongoing mentorship and training.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians providing regular updates on child progress and developmental milestones.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes the physical emotional and social well-being of all children.
- Evaluate and assess childrens development through observation and documentation.
- Organize and facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote learning and growth.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment.
- Participate in staff meetings training sessions and community events as required.
- Ensure effective classroom management and uphold discipline policies that align with the organizations values.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Current state teaching certification or equivalent credentials.
- Strong understanding of child development principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a childcare or educational setting.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with curriculum development and implementation.
