Job Summary:
We are currently looking for a Senior Investment Accountant in our Warren New Jersey this role you will interact and support several aspects of accounting financial analysis and reporting for the group.
This is a hybrid position working 3 days in office 2 remote.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead and support the accounting and reporting of investments under U.S. GAAP and U.S. Statutory frameworks.
Coordinate and participate in monthly and quarterly investment close processes.
Prepare and review U.S. statutory investment schedules and GAAP disclosures.
Reconcile investment-related cash accounts and ensure accuracy across reporting systems.
Collaborate with financial reporting and investment management teams to support local reporting for foreign branches and subsidiaries.
Develop and maintain internal control documentation including exhibits and schedules.
Deliver insightful monthly quarterly and year-end analyses including account reconciliations.
Contribute to strategic initiatives and ad-hoc analyses driven by senior leadership.
Work Experience and Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of investment accounting experience; public accounting or public company reporting is a plus.
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP investment accounting; familiarity with U.S. insurance statutory reporting is advantageous.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of independence.
Proficiency in financial systems and tools especially Excel; experience with PAM Bloomberg PeopleSoft or Oracle is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work cross-functionally.
CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field.
Experience in the insurance or reinsurance industry is a plus.
The base salary range for this position is $75000 - $95000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education experience qualifications and work location.
