    Compensation
    Annually Salary Range: $95169 - $126591 (New employees to the District no higher than Step 6 $116681)
    *Based on the 2025-26 Confidential Salary Schedule

    Description
    The Human Resources Technician under the direction of the Chief Human Relations Officer performs a variety of complex technical personnel services in the organization maintenance and processing of matters relating to the districts personnel functions with district staff members and the general public.

    Qualifications Education and Experience
    • Five years of broad and varied secretarial experience with increasing office responsibility.
    • Two years of human resources experience
    • Graduation from high school including or supplemented by courses in wordprocessing and office procedures.

    • Ability to manage high activity office effectively and efficiently
    • Exceptional customer service skills
    • Ability to plan organize and prioritize workload so as to meet establishedtimelines
    • Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures including propertelephone techniques and computer skills
    • Ability to use electronic solutions to reduce time and costs to Human Resourcesoperations
    • Ability to use metrics to measure optimal customer service and cost control
    • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
    • Exercise independent judgment in a highly visible environment that includes extensive contact with district staff members and the general public
    • Create and maintain effective working relationships
    • Handle stress pressure and difficult situations with diplomacy and tact
    • Knowledge of English usage spelling grammar and punctuation
    • Knowledge of school district policies rules and regulations related to the HumanResources Office

    Example of Duties and Responsibilities
    • Answer inquiries concerning personnel matters effectively and efficiently
    • Assist with personnel recruitment activities; provides information regardingsalaries District policies procedures regulations and requirements to classifiedand certificated applicants and current employees
    • Establish and maintain personnel files
    • Input employee information into district software programs related to positioncontrol
    • Prepare reports correspondence and memoranda concerning personnel matters
    • Process employment applications schedule interviews conduct tests andprepare paperwork necessary to add new employees to payroll includingsubstitutes for certificated and classified
    • Perform reference checks on candidates
    • Keep Payroll informed of personnel changes
    • Work with substitutes to fill vacancies
    • Prepare vacancy notices for posting and advertising
    • Prepare contracts for new administrative and certificated personnel andre-employment contracts for temporary certificated personnel
    • Monitor compliance for certificated classified and administrative personnel
    • Maintain and updates list of certificated and classified employee evaluations
    • Maintain current record of professional growth units for certificated and classifiedpersonnel
    • Other duties as assigned

    Ability to:
    • Understand and follow complex verbal and written instructions.
    • Use the computer proficiently to create and maintain documents spreadsheets and avariety of databases
    • Learn and apply District policies rules and regulations
    • Maintain confidentiality of students staff and District information

    Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time; ability to sit bend kneel perform grasping and handling motions and torso rotations on a continuous basis lift carry or move up to 25 lbs. ability to reach in all directions; adequate sight or corrected vision to read printed directions or instructions; hear and speak to communicate with co-workers students and the public; dexterity of the hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment.
