The Citadel The Military College of South Carolina is seeking a friendly organized and dependable Seasonal Administrative Assistant in the Office of Admissions. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for prospective students families and campus visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist prospective students parents and campus visitors in person and over the phone
- Answer and direct phone calls and emails to appropriate staff
- Schedule appointments and campus tours
- Provide general information about admissions processes deadlines and application requirements
- Process admissions documents including downloading electronic transcripts and other materials and attaching them to student records in the Document Management and customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Perform data entry by updating applicant records and entering new prospective students into the CRM system
- Assist with incoming and outgoing mail filing and document preparation
- Support admissions events and special projects as needed
- Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred
- Previous receptionist or administrative experience preferred especially in an educational or admissions setting
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook); experience with document management systems systems CRMs or student information systems (e.g. Banner Slate) is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage and organize large volumes of documents and records
- Punctual reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team
Schedule and Duration:
- Temporary position lasting approximately 12 weeks starting July 7th 2025
- July 7 Aug 8: Monday through Thursday 8-5 Friday 8:30 12
