Job Description
Summer Math Teacher
Position Summary: Summer Math Teacher needed for Dr. Martin Luther King Centers Summer Camp. The Summer Math Teacher will report to The Director of Education. The goal of this position is to implement the summer Math initiative to the children enrolled in the MLKs summer camp; to maintain or increase their Math skills. This is a part-time seasonal position.
Qualifications:
- Certified Elementary Teacher
- Knowledge of STAR Testing
- Creative with experiential learning flexible and innovative
- Current Fingerprints Required
Work hours:
25 hours/week throughout 8 weeks of summer camp July1st- August 23rd.
This includes 5 hrs. (preparation) and 20 hrs. (contact group time)
Compensation and Benefits:

An independent nonprofit the MLK Community Center fights hunger promotes health educates young and school-aged kids supports families and engages seniors.

- Hunger Prevention and Nutrition

- Reduce hunger through our food pantry daily meal program and home food delivery.
- Increase health through agency-wide access to a Registered Dietitian nutrition education fitness and wellness programming and other engaging programs.
- Offer high-performing educational programs for children while holistically supporting the needs of their parents and families.
