The Role
Join Our Team as IT Services Manager / Value Stream Manager!
Toll Group IT provides technology strategy governance delivery and support across all of Toll Worldwide. The team ensures the organisation is equipped with the right technology foundations and business systems to drive growth and meet evolving customer needs.
Within this framework the IT Services Manager / Value Stream Manager plays a critical role by aligning technology initiatives with business outcomes. By leading cross-functional teams streamlining end-to-end processes and ensuring timely delivery of value to customers the Value Stream Manager helps maximise return on investment in technology. This role bridges the gap between IT and the business fostering collaboration improving efficiency and accelerating innovationultimately enabling Toll to operate more effectively and competitively in the market.
Are you a visionary IT Services Manager / Value Stream Manager ready toguideand innovate Toll Group is seeking a dynamicValue Stream Manager for our Enterprise / Government & Defence IT team. This is a pivotal role within our Group IT where youll drive the strategy and architecture for our core technology domains.
A day in the life of an IT Services Manager / Value Stream Manager at Toll Group:
- Highlight risks and coordinate IT service management & process compliance issues with service providers and use data & insights to proactively identify improvement initiatives.
- Act as the key point of escalation for all matters related to specific Value Stream and facilitate escalation resolutions across IT service delivery capabilities.
- Track and report on IT services for the assigned Value Stream including developing and communicating IT changes and awareness programs for the business.
- Communicate and collaborate with technology management and service partners on status issues and findings to influence outcomes.
- Act as an advocate for the quality delivery and continuous service improvement of IT services ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction are provided by the Value Stream and improve its KPIs.
- Regularly visit operational sites to collaborate with business stakeholders develop relationships and act as the first escalation point of contact for all IT matters.
- Serve as the deputy to the Head of IT Value Stream providing strategic and operational support across all initiatives. This includes acting as the second-in-command ensuring continuity of leadership and stepping in to represent the Head of Value Stream when required.
- Coordinate Business IT teams and external vendors on a global scale across multiple time zones.
- Occasional domestic and international travel may be required for this position.
Skills and Experience:
- Solid experience in IT service management with experience in process governance issue coordination and performance improvement.
- IT experience in the Supply Chain Logistics domain is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of IT service management values and best practices such as ITIL.
- Demonstrated management experience in managing and improving service outcomes within a Value Stream.
- Knowledge in infrastructure (compute storage networking cloud data centers telco) and end-user technology tools (O365 SharePoint MFA mobility video conferencing printing).
- Oversee IT vendors ensure service quality and act as escalation point.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively identify and address complex business issues.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to facilitate effective change and governance.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in managing budgets and resources effectively.
- ITIL 4 Certification (Levels 1 5)
- Project Management Certification (E.g. PMP PRINCE2 Agile etc)
