Empower students to succeed as a RISE Education Support Professional! REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION LEVEL:
Two years of post high school education or higher or be able to pass a standardized test approved by the state of South Dakota for designated Education Assistant positions.
EXPERIENCE DESIRED:
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or experience with behavior management.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical demands of this job include general activity such as sitting standing walking bending squatting kneeling pushing and pulling throughout the school day. The position requires carrying and lifting of body weight and/or objects/equipment as well as pushing/pulling forces of individuals in wheelchairs and adaptive devices from1 to 40 pounds continuously 40-60 pounds frequently and from 60 to 99 pounds occasionally. Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical if new hires (including transfers).
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Must demonstrate and pass safety competency review on a yearly basis.

PAY INFORMATION
Level G* starting at $20.12 per hour
Pay Day: Last working day of each month.
*Thisposition earns the Education Support Professional differential pay. Each position that qualifies for the EducationSupport Professional differential pay earns an additional $2 per hour.
HOURS & FTE
Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 4:00 pm with a 30-minute unpaid break
0.875 FTE 35 hours per week9 months
Estimated Start: August 2025
