Change Grow Live is a charity dedicated to the belief that we can make a difference to our service users lives offering support and respect in a safe environment treating each user as an individual and working with them to find the right support and care options.

We have an exciting opportunity for aVolunteer and Peer Mentor Coordinator to join our busyGateshead YP Service to champion inclusion and the service user and community voice and gather feedback to contribute to the effective co-production of service provision in Gateshead.

Where: Gateshead

Full Time Hours: 37.5 per week

Full Time Salary: 27861.26 - 32002.35 dependant on experience (based on full time hours pro rata for part time hours)

Contract:Fixed Term contract until 31st of October 2027

Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities

About the role:

  • Work in collaboration with a wide range of services and professionals and provide interventions about the service to groups or individuals.
  • Work with colleagues across the service to ensure service user involvement is considered in all service initiatives and promotions.
  • Work with the teamto provide the best treatment options for people in need of support but not yet accessing treatment.
  • Develop links with partnerships and groups within the wider community with an aim of engaging the community with recovery groups and recovery activities and events.
  • Lead on service user inclusion events across the year and with the celebration of service user success
  • Lead on Volunteer and Peer Mentor Recruitment.

About you:

  • Experienced in recruiting training and managing volunteers
  • Aware of the challenges faced by the people using our services.
  • Experienced in delivering learning and training to others.
  • Accomplished written and verbal skills and a high degree of IT competency.
