Your responsibilities include:
- Handling inquiries offers contracts negotiations and team task distribution
- Operational and administrative leadership of the Convention Sales department
- Efficient allocation of event spaces and maximizing hotel capacity in coordination with Sales & Revenue teams
- Ensuring smooth event planning execution and follow-up
- Monitoring and verifying booking accuracy
- Continuously optimizing sales processes and outcomes
- Budget responsibility for the events area
- Preparing handovers to operational departments and invoice checks
- Conducting hotel tours and presenting the property
- Maintaining close customer contact
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure flawless events
- Identifying new projects clients products and external services
- Creating and reporting sales statistics
- Working on various projects
- Prioritizing guest and client satisfaction
- Creating duty and vacation schedules for your team
- Participating in interviews to recruit new talent
- Supporting the development of your team and trainees through reviews and development plans
- Working with revenue targets and achieving budget goals
SHOW US YOUR TALENTS!
- Completed training in hotel/restaurant management or hospitality
- Alternatively a degree in hotel/tourism/event management
- Solid experience in convention sales ideally in a venue of similar size (events for 1000 people) and team leadership
- Deep knowledge of the Berlin market
- Marriott experience is a plus
- Warm authentic and outgoing personality
- Strong communication skills in German and English; additional languages are a plus
- Flexible quality-focused and detail-oriented
- Organized and structured work style
- Eagerness to explore new ideas and paths
- Enthusiasm for working with people and diverse cultures
- Strong internal and external communication skills
- Excellent organizational talent and a passion for teamwork
