Position Summary
This position is responsible for customer account management and coordinating and executing trading activities for assigned commodities.
Key Responsibilities
Develop implement manage and execute strategic sales plans for assigned commodities
Manage the buying and selling activities of assigned commodities
Determine supply and demand survey market conditions and analyze other economic forces in order to establish position in the market
Initiate negotiate and agree on terms of commodity purchase/sale contracts such as price quality quantity transportation timing and payment
Arrange efficient transportation of commodities both by truck and rail
Ensure thorough and accurate follow-up execution and closure to all contracts resolving disputes or performance issues as they arise
Research and identify new customers and/or suppliers as well as develop and maintain regular communication to build and grow current customer relationships
Identify process improvement opportunities within the business
Analyze commodity markets to identify trading opportunities

Education & Experience
Bachelors Degree required Masters Degree preferred preferably in Agriculture Business Finance Economics or related major
3-5 years relevant experience required (5-10 years preferred) in commodity merchandising originations or trading
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
Physical Requirements and Working Environment
Prolonged period of sitting at a desk and working at a computer
