The Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership will teach graduate-level courses advise students conduct scholarly research and contribute to service in the field of educational leadership. The ideal candidate will have experience in K12 or higher education administration and demonstrate a commitment to preparing equity-minded and transformational leaders for diverse educational settings.
Responsibilities
- Teach graduate courses in Educational Leadership such as school law organizational leadership curriculum development supervision and administrative practices.
- Develop and deliver face-to-face hybrid and/or online courses.
- Incorporate current research leadership frameworks and culturally responsive practices into teaching.
- Advise and mentor graduate students in the Educational Leadership program.
- Supervise internships and practicum experiences for aspiring school leaders or administrators.
- Serve on thesis and dissertation committees as appropriate.
- Engage in scholarly research in the field of educational leadership or related areas.
- Publish in peer-reviewed journals and present at regional or national conferences.
- Seek external funding to support research and program development initiatives.
- Participate in program assessment curriculum development and accreditation activities.
- Collaborate with K12 schools school districts and professional organizations.
- Serve on departmental college and university committees.
Education
- Doctorate (Ed.D. or Ph.D.) in Educational Leadership Administration or a closely related field (ABD considered if completion is imminent).
- Evidence of effective teaching and curriculum development at the graduate level.
- Must be able to lift 10 pounds.
