Food Service Assistant

Job Description:

About the Role

You will be responsible for providing meal and beverage services to all internal and external SVHM customers. This includes plating cleaning restocking and some basic meal preparation and production.

• Set up clean and restock plating area
• Provide correct food and beverage items as per patient meal tickets
• Clean food and beverage trolleys and trays crockery cutlery etc.
• Prepare salad and sandwiches as required

Classifications for this position will range from IN13 - IN14 ($49145 - $53508 per annum pro rata)

Your Contribution

• Current Food Handlers Certificate (HLTFSE001)
• Experience in high volume food service
• Focus on customer satisfaction
• Thorough understanding of Food Safety responsibilities
• A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check or willing to obtain

About the Food Services Team

St Vincents Fitzroy Food service department is a central production kitchen providing food for 11 sites and for St Vincents itself. We are fully functional kitchen operating 365 days of the year producing approximately 2500 meals daily in accordance to the cook-chill methodology for all sites.

The department consists of over 85 employees ranging from cooks/chefs kitchen hands and food service assistants.
