ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Consultant the Campus Recruiter plays a key role in shaping the future of our organization by discovering and attracting the next generation of talent. In this fast-paced and rewarding role youll own the full-cycle recruitment process for our student and new graduate programsfrom kickoff meetings with hiring managers to crafting compelling job postings developing interview strategies screening top candidates coordinating interviews and extending offers. Youll ensure every step aligns with legal standards collective agreements and recruitment best practices. But thats just the beginning. Youll take the lead in building our New Graduate Program bringing fresh ideas to life through engaging campus initiatives and strategic partnerships. Whether youre planning unforgettable student engagement events or representing us at career fairs youll be at the forefront of connecting bright minds with exciting opportunities.

WHAT YOULLBE DOING

  • Administers and coordinates full-cycle recruitment activities for student vacancies. This includes creating job postings screening and shortlisting candidates scheduling and facilitating interviews and extending job offers
  • Co-ordinates and attends job fairs in collaboration with members of the Talent Acquisition team and client Departments.
  • Actively engages in proactive talent pipelining activities including delivering presentations preparing promotional materials and planning engagement events to position York Region as an Employer of Choice.
  • Educates hiring managers on consistent fair inclusive unbiased hiring practices in compliance with applicable legislation Regional Policies and the Collective Agreement(s).
  • Ensures a positive candidate experience by maintaining clear communication providing timely feedback and effectively managing candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Builds trusted relationships with hiring managers and business partners by collaborating to fill positions proactively develop talent pipelines and using judgment to escalate issues through the appropriate channels.

WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR

  • Successful completion of a University degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related discipline or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years experience managing the end-to-end recruitment process within a fast paced corporate environment.
  • Ability to develop meaningful and trusted relationships and to partner with stakeholders at all levels of the organization with an exceptional commitment to client service.
  • Demonstrated consulting facilitation and advisory skills with the ability to successfully promote new concepts and ideas.
  • Strong interpersonal sourcing and networking skills with a proven understanding of the recruitment landscape to attract top talent.
  • Exposure to various recruitment technology tools including applicant tracking systems internet sourcing platforms social media channels etc.
  • Proficiency in behavioral interviewing methodologies competency-based techniques and/or other selection and assessment tools.
