ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The purpose of this role is to deliver and collect material between branches and other locations in a safe timely and efficient manner.

The successful applicant will require:

• Current Class C Drivers Licence
• Good driving record
• Experience in a library or similar customer service environment
• Well-developed literacy numeracy and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work safely and efficiently perform heavy lifting loading and unloading activities
• Experience in using computers and the internet in a professional environment

About this role:

• 1x term contract (up to 12 months) part-time position
• Working 30 hours per fortnight with core hours from 9:00am to 2:00pm Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday.
• Deliveries made between Wentworthville Granville and Lidcombe Library

Salary information: The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award.

• Grade 5 of the Cumberland Salary Structure with a salary range of $32.04 to $36.85 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation
• The commencing salary will be negotiated taking into consideration the successful applicants qualifications skills and experience related to the role

What youll need to have for this role:

• The right to live and work in Australia
• Be able to provide information for pre-employment checks required for the position including attending a physical pre-employment medical examination as required
• Participate in health monitoring as outlined in the risk assessment for this position and Councils Health Monitoring Procedure as required
• Provide evidence of your vaccination status as part of the employment screening process in accordance with Councils COVID-19 Vaccination Procedure.
