A substantial part of the 200-acre Viking Lakes mixed-use development this destination is home to the Minnesota Vikings headquarters Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center and TCO Stadium. The location is easily accessible from downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul the Mall of America and airport with additional uses for the planned development to include corporate offices retail restaurants and entertainment.
The 320-room luxury hotel features more than 35000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and pre-function space including a 7500-square-foot ballroom a 4410-square-foot event center and six two-story hospitality lounges for groups and meeting planners to utilize. From small board meetings conferences and large galas or special events to Sunday football tailgates and more the Omni Viking Lakes Hotel accommodates groups of all sizes with its robust meetings offerings multiple food and beverage venues a signature spa and state-of-the-art fitness facilities.
Job Description
Omni Viking Lakes Hotel is seeking an Outlet Bartender. This team member is responsible for providing
drink orders to guests servers and managers delivering prompt and courteous service in accordance
with Omni standards.

Salary for this position starts at (based on experience): $15.85/hour. Full Time Associates at Omni Viking Lakes are entitled to elect the following benefits: Medical Dental Vision and other healthcare benefits Paid Maternity Leave 401k and Paid Time Off Accrual. Responsibilities
- Master drink recipes according to brand standards.
- Must maintain full familiarity with menus and knowledge of beverage offerings including wine service.
- Supports new Omni Safe and Clean protocols throughout the outlet to support Omnis Covid-19 related sanitation protocols.
- Follow procedures as outlined in employee manual and bartenders manual. Jiggers pour making drinks for servers only when rung in on Micros.
- Be pleasant smile and greet all guests using surnames when obtained.
- Attend to all needs of the guest during their visit to the restaurant.
- Must be familiar with and adhere to all liquor liability laws.
- Communicate with culinary team regarding meal requirements allergies dietary needs and special requests.
- Alert the manager immediately if a member or guest has a suggestion complaint or issue.
- Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant/bar area.
- Send orders using MICROS systempresent accurate check to guest and process payment.
- Complete all opening and closing side work.
- Ensure consistency in the presentation and recipes of all cocktails.
- Be familiar with all property amenities and other restaurants.
- Ensuring all products are within date and using the FIFO method of storage.
- Monitor inventory place and receive warehouse orders daily and ensure proper par levels of all products. Notify managers immediately if there are discrepancies.
- Attend department meetings and other required company trainings.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Must be at a minimum of 18 years old.
- Two years bartending experience.
- Previous Bartending and guest service experience required upscale hotel or resort experience is strongly preferred.
- Must have and maintain current TIPS ServSafe or equivalent alcohol training.
- MICROS Experiencepreferred.
- Must be able to communicate effectively.
- Must consistently demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills be teamwork-oriented and exhibit a positive attitude.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends holidays and evenings.
- Must agree and adhere to compensation acknowledgment and tip reporting guidelines.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period or for an entire shift.
- Must be able to move lift carry push pull and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Working Environment:
- Interior of restaurant kitchen and designated bar area with occasional travel around the property as needed.
- Exposure to a kitchen environment with high temperatures.
- Exterior of Hotel with exposure to weather conditions.
- Exposure to Food and Beverage hazardous cleaning chemicals.
- Exposure to food items and beverages.
