Job Description
Job Title: PC Technical Manager
Location: Lagos Nigeria
Role Purpose
- Coach direct reports (Production Engineers) and the wider manufacturing team (Shift Managers and operators) to enhance their AM PM QM Focused Improvement and Early Equipment Management (EEM) skills.
- Define and implement the Maintenance / Asset Care Strategy for the production Center (covering Autonomous and preventive/ Predictive Maintenance)
- Define and implement the Equipment Investment Strategy in line with the Production Centre Business Master plan.
- Execute equipment installations while adhering to Early Equipment (EEM) Management principles.
- Deliver on the laid-out PC Production Maintenance Sustainability and Continuous Improvement strategy as aligned with the production center Director.
Main Accountabilities
Technical:
- Coach direct reports and the wider manufacturing team to enhance their Autonomous Maintenance (AM) Preventive Maintenance (PM) Quality Management (QM) Focused Improvement (FI) and Early Equipment Management (EEM) skills.
- Deliver technical projects On Time In Full (OTIF) within agreed-upon timelines.
- Define and implement the Maintenance / Asset Care Strategy for the production Center covering Autonomous and Preventive Maintenance.
- Execute engineering projects while adhering to Early Equipment Management (EEM) principles. This should be On Time In Full (OTIF) and Within approved Budget.
- Implement a robust spares management program that optimizes inventory while delivering zero breakdowns.
Sustainability & CI:
- Develop a structure for continuous improvement and use of CI tools for operational excellence across all PC operational/technical functions.
- Define and implement the Production Centre s sustainability objectives in line with the company s global sustainability targets/commitment.
Key Interfaces
- All PC personnel (internal and outsourced).
- External visitors and partners with a particular focus on integrity with government officials and suppliers.
- All members of the Local Business Leadership Team
- PC Leadership Team (at CU/MU and Regional Level)
- OEMs for installed equipment at the PC.
- Engineering service providers
Requirements
Aptitude Knowledge Skills and Experience
- Bachelor s degree in engineering e.g. Mechanical Electrical or Mechatronics engineering etc.
- Hands-on experience in Asset care in a production/manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience in utilities management.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of hands-on asset care experience in a manufacturing environment preferably in an FMCG company.
- Deep passion for Manufacturing Excellence principles as the standard in Production Management TPM WCM or ManEx.
- Integrity and Confidentiality.
- Emotional & Professional Bandwidth to handle competing demands with a knack for superior tactical planning prioritization and execution.
- Good understanding of inter-functional relationships in a multinational set-up.
- Clear understanding of the importance of Brand Protection.
- Proactive and Active Listening Capabilities.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing operations and Business reporting.
