The Senior Category Insights Analyst will play a critical role in uncovering and translating data-driven insights to shape Montus product and portfolio strategy. This role is focused on turning quantitive & qualitative data into clear actionable recommendations that drive performance across pricing product and category decisions.
Partnering closely with the Category Managers this role will build and evolve reporting frameworks identify trends and opportunities and support strategic initiatives with compelling commercial narratives. It suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment can move between detail and strategic context and is passionate about using insights to influence business outcomes and improve how we make decisions.
What Youll Do:
- Conduct in-depth pricing analysis identify optimisation opportunities and support decision-making with data-driven recommendations.
- Track industry trends competitor strategies and market shifts to inform category and product strategies.
- Develop dashboards and scorecards to monitor pricing effectiveness promotional impact sales and margin trends.
- Build models to evaluate pricing and cost changes forecasting their impact on profitability and business performance.
- Work closely with Sales Marketing Finance and BI to align strategies share insights and enhance reporting processes.
Qualifications :
- Demonstrated experience in pricing category or commercial analysis with a strong ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable strategies.
- Advanced skills in Excel and proficiency with data tools such as SQL Power BI or Looker enabling effective data visualization and analysis.
- Bachelors degree in finance economics business data analytics or a related field providing a solid foundation for analytical tasks.
- Excellent communication skills capable of simplifying complex data for non-technical audiences and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
- Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced high-growth environments managing ambiguity and competing priorities effectively.
- Proactive and curious with a passion for building processes tools and strategies that support business scaling and continuous improvement.
