Position Summary:

The Operator 3 Team Member is a lead-level position on the Spin team with increased experience skills and responsibilities of an Operator 1 and an Operator 2. The Spin teams goal is to produce the finished product of high-quality premium ice cream in an efficient manner and to package the product correctly into pints and tubs. The Operator 3 Team Member plays a crucial role in upholding Salt & Straws highest standards for the final product. Their responsibilities include assessing areas that require attention or labor allocation to ensure the high-quality and efficient production of our ice cream. This position requires attention to detail a strong commitment to food and plant safety and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Success for Operator 3 is achieved through the utilization of a positive attitude and expertise to guide and instruct junior-level Team Members facilitating the achievement of production goals in an efficient and safe manner.

Qualifications

Joining Our Team

Qualifications:

  • 2 years working in commercial food preparation manufacturing production or warehouse environment.

  • 1 years machine operating experience.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Knowledge and Critical Skills:

  • Fluency in English.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to bring hospitality into all interactions.

  • Ability to work with people of all backgrounds and identities.

  • Comfortable working on a team in a manufacturing facility with other teams.

  • Knowledge of pertinent local federal and state health and safety laws and regulations.

  • Ability to coach lead and motivate Team Members.

  • Ability to uphold a high standard of service efficiency sanitation and safety.

  • Proficient in operating a wide range of commercial kitchen equipment.

Wage Transparency:

We are actively embracing pay transparency by disclosing the hiring wage for this role as $20.92-$22.35 highlighting its full earning potential within the broader range of $20.92-$25.57.
