Job Description

Our comprehensive range of services includes environmental management exploration and mine geology resource estimation mining engineering geotechnical engineering and project management

The Role

As a suitably qualified environmental professional you will be working as part of our environmental team. Reporting to the Manager of Environment and responsible for;

Responsibilities:

Scope and manage technical studies;

Prepare compile and edit environmental technical studies contribute to Environmental Impact Assessments and other technical and advisory reports for clients;

Contribute to mine rehabilitation and closure planning documents;

Research and interpret legislative requirements and processes;

Work within multidisciplinary teams to meet specified project goals; and

Develop and maintain relationships with key project contacts

Site visits to our client locations as required

Qualifications & Experience:

An Environmental Consultant is expected to have at least 2-3 years or more experience.

Exposure to the mining industry is preferred with exposure to the following industries being of benefit: Mineral processing mining infrastructure or oil/gas.

Sound knowledge of Commonwealth Queensland Northern Territory and New South Wales environmental legislation and approvals processes;

Exceptional interpersonal verbal and written communication skills showing attention to detail in everything you do;

A high level of computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office package;

Be honest ethical and maintain loyalty and confidentiality;

Efficient time management/organisational skills;

Be able to cultivate and nurture positive relationships with clients co-workers and contractors;

Work autonomously have a good sense of humour and also have the ability to work effectively within a team

Strong analytical ability and strategic capability to deliver tasks as assigned

Formal qualifications in environmental management science or engineering disciplines are required.
