Job Description
WKBN-TV in Youngstown Ohio is seeking a full-time Multimedia Content Producer to join our team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment and work collaboratively with both our digital and television teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write engaging digital content in AP style (writing test required).
- Edit and proofread with strong attention to grammar and detail.
- Create content that captivates and informs readers.
- Monitor and utilize social media platforms to drive content and audience engagement.
- Manage multiple projects with flexibility and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members while also working independently.
- Operate studio and remote equipment (cameras graphics etc.) during newscasts and media productions.
Requirements:
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Understanding of social media and digital analytics is a plus.
- Calm positive demeanor under deadline pressure.
- Proficiency in computer usage; experience with Photoshop and WordPress is a plus.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including mornings nights weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Journalism or related field.
- Experience in television production or post-production.
Work Environment:
Fast-paced high-pressure setting with tight deadlines.
