ACQUISITIONS ANALYST
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Primary responsibility is to assist the Senior Vice President of Real Estate Acquisitions in the preparation of detailed economic analyses of potential multifamily acquisitions. The Acquisitions Analyst will have 1 to 3 years of transaction related experience.
Create and prepare computer models for potential acquisition targets utilizing Excel and Argus.
Research and analyze numerous markets appropriate for acquisition of multifamily rental properties. Gain intimate knowledge of those markets to be able to capitalize on opportunities in those markets.
Conduct due diligence activities involving lease analysis shopping market competitors. Arrange third party reports such as market studies and property tax analysis.
Develop in conjunction with the Property Operations Group a zero-based operating and capital budget.
Create and oversee Request for Proposals (RFPs) for third party management of non-core business such as commercial leasing and commercial parking operations.
Participate in various analytical projects required in the Acquisition Department.
Prepare materials and along with the Senior Vice President present to GIDs Investment Committee.
Assist in preparing reports to GIDs ownership and institutional investment partners.
Maintain contact and relationships with potential deal sources including brokers owners and developers.
QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Four-year college or university degree required with1 to 3 years related work experience and/or training desired but not required. Fluency in and ability to not only maintain but to create Excel financial models and spreadsheets are essential. Expert proficiency in Excel Microsoft Word and PowerPoint required. Some Macro/VBA OutlookSoft report writing and Argus background would be helpful.
