Imagine helping to shape the most talked-about event space in Portland before a single table is set. Sojourn Suites is reemerging with a $30M renovation and full rebrand into Hyatt House and Mindaro by JDV two bold stylish hotel experiences just steps from PDX.
Were seeking an innovative and relationship-driven Catering Sales Manager to pre-sell and later execute unforgettable events in our brand-new restaurant and flexible meeting space. Youll be part of a rare hospitality moment: launching not just a venue but an elevated brand experience.
This is not your average hotel job its your opportunity to shape Portlands first 4-star airport hotel.
What Youll Do:
- Develop and manage catering sales leads and contracts for corporate meetings social events and local functions.
- Promote our future meeting and dining spaces through creative proposals visuals and relationship-building.
- Act as a liaison between clients and operations to ensure every detail aligns with brand standards and guest expectations.
- Help create menus packages and event experiences that showcase both Hyatt House and the independent flair of Mindaro by JDV.
What You Bring:
- Previous experience in catering/event sales (pre-opening or rebranding preferred).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to sell an idea with enthusiasm and vision before the doors even open.
