The Safety and Incident Management Service (SIMS) team plays a vital role in keeping Fiona Stanley Hospital safe by responding swiftly and professionally to safety security and emergency incidents.
Reporting to the SIMS Team Leader youll be at the heart of our hospital community where no two days are the same. You will:
- Provide a reassuring presence while supporting staff patients and visitors.
- Resolve conflicts and tough scenarios with empathy and confidence using a calm and respectful approach.

To be successful in this role youll have:
- Strong experience with communicating effectively adjusting your approach to suit different people and settings.
- Relevant experience in a similar role ideally in a healthcare setting.
- The competency to apply safe and appropriate physical intervention techniques when needed.
- Proven experience with handling conflict confidently and professionally including responding to difficult or aggressive behaviour.
- A composed nature who can work in a fast-paced high-pressure and at times confronting environment.
- Experience with handheld Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) is desirable
The role requires a WA Security License Certificate II in Security Operations and WA Drivers License (C class) as well as a First Aid Certificate including CPR and a Working with Children card.
