Location: Stockholm Sweden (Hybrid 2-3 days/week WFH)
Type: Full-time Fixed-term Contract (Approx. 12 months)
Start Date: Mid-August 2025 (including 1-month handover with current Head of Operations)
Duration: 12 months (fixed-term contract)

The Role

As Interim Head of Operations (maternity cover starting mid-August 2025) youll report directly to the CEO and be responsible for the strategic and day-to-day leadership of Insurellos Operational engine that consists of Claims Legal and Customer Support functions. Youll manage 34 direct reports including two Team Managers who oversee large operational teams ensuring the delivery of efficient customer-centric services.

Your Mission in This Role

Lead operational strategy planning and execution

  • Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team to translate strategic priorities into actionable operational plans.
  • Own operational steering ensuring efficiency and delivery on key business outcomes.

At the end of your interim journey the current operational plan will have been successfully completedadapted as neededand a new plan for the year ahead will be drafted to support future growth.

Drive performance and operational excellence through data

  • Use data and metrics to monitor analyze and improve performance.
  • Optimize tools processes and systems for scalable growth and impact.
  • Maintain high standards in service compliance and regulatory areas within a fast-paced environment.

When its time to pass the baton core workflows will be running smoothly and documentation will be structured and up to date.

Ensure alignment and stakeholder collaboration

  • Foster strong cross-functional relationships with Product Data Finance and other key stakeholders.
  • Remove blockers facilitate planning and ensure operational initiatives align with company priorities.

By the time you wrap up cross-team collaboration will be seamless ownership clear and priorities aligned for the next leader.

Lead and develop people

  • Manage and support 2 Team Managers and Legal Counsels nurturing high-performing engaged teams.
  • Empower teams through clear goals fostering feedback culture and continuous performance tracking.
  • Act as a role model for work ethics and collaboration across Operations.

As you prepare to hand things back the team should feel empowered motivated and proud of their growth ready for the next phase with confidence and clarity.

Who You Are

  • A seasoned operations leader with experience in fast-paced scale-up environments.
  • Highly analytical and data-driven confident working with metrics dashboards Excel and operational systems.
  • Strong in project and stakeholder management with the ability to align and influence across functions.
  • Strategic thinker whos also hands-on able to shift between high-level planning and operational execution.
  • Proactive structured and decisive in complex and evolving situations.
  • Experienced in leading senior experts or specialized teams ideally with exposure to managing other managers but not a must.
  • A supportive direct and trusted leader; you inspire strong work ethics engagement and focus.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English.

Bonus points if you

  • Have experience in regulated industries like insurance legal tech or fintech.
  • Have worked across or closely with Customer Service Sales or core Operations teams.
  • Thrive in high-velocity tech-driven environments with shifting priorities and fast decision-making.
