Our client who provides financial solutions requires an experienced Head of Human Resources to join their team. Reporting to the Director of Global HR you primarily lead the HR functions in Ghana and support HR initiatives in other African countries.
Responsibilities;
- Lead the Ghana HR department overseeing all HR operations strategy and planning.
- Implement HR plans aligned with business goals including workforce planning retention and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
- Localize and implement global HR strategies frameworks and programs within the Ghana site.
- Promote a high-performance culture through effective engagement training and development programs.
- Collaborate with site leaders and HR stakeholders in other African countries to support local HR needs and challenges.
- Support the rollout of HR policies systems and programs across the Africa region ensuring local adaptation and compliance.
- Drive alignment of HR processes tools and culture across all sites while respecting local contexts.
- Advise executive leadership on HR matters including organizational design leadership development and succession planning.
- Partner with Finance Legal and Operations on compensation and benefits strategies.
Requirements
- Must have at least a Bachelor s degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field.
- Must have at least ten (10) years of progressive work experience in HR with at least five (5) years in a leadership role.
- Experience working in fast-paced and growth-stage companies such as tech and financial services.
- Having worked with a multinational organisation in same or similar capacity is strongly preferred.
- Proven track record in leading HR functions end-to-end (recruitment performance L&D employee relations etc.).
- Strong knowledge of Ghanaian labor law; familiarity with HR practices across other African countries is a plus.
- Excellent communication leadership and stakeholder management skills.
