We are seeking a dynamic Legal Counsel to join our Separation Flow Technologies (SFT) division. Based in our Janesville WI office this role will:
Lead Draft & Negotiate:
Analyze draft and negotiate a high volume of complex sales purchase confidentiality and intellectual property agreements with customers vendors and third parties.
Strategic Advisor:
Counsel SFT Division leadership on legal and regulatory matters ensuring full alignment with global and regional laws.
Risk Management:
Develop and implement legal risk strategies tailored to industry-specific challenges promoting the long-term success and sustainability of the division.
Training & Enablement:
Provide practical contracts and risk management training to both operational and executive GEA employees.
Litigation Oversight:
Manage the SFT Divisions litigation portfolio across North America and Australia including retention and oversight of external counsel.
Your Profile / Qualifications
7 - 10 years experience in a construction commercial business setting.
Legal Expertise:
Strong experience analyzing redlining and negotiating complex contracts.
Strategic Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate nuanced legal topics to non-lawyers.
Organization & Execution:
Proven ability to manage competing priorities meet deadlines and work effectively in high-paced environments.
Problem-Solving:
Analytical creative thinker with a solution-oriented mindset and strong attention to detail.
Cultural Fluency:
Comfort working in a global environment with an appreciation for diverse business practices and cultural dynamics.
Tech Proficiency:
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and common contract management tools.

The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $120000 - $220000 per year. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.
The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors including skill set experience location qualifications and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards.
