The ServiceNow Developer is responsible for designing developing and maintaining ServiceNow applications and integrations in collaboration with ITSM personnel business stakeholders and technical teams across the Office of Administration. This role involves customizing ITSM modules building workflows and automations and supporting Agile development efforts to deliver scalable high-quality solutions.
Design develop and implement ServiceNow applications and system integrations.
Customize core ITSM applications including Incident Problem Change Request and CMDB.
Develop and maintain custom applications and modules using ServiceNow Studio.
Create workflows business rules client scripts UI policies/actions and automated tasks.
Integrate ServiceNow with third-party tools using REST/SOAP APIs and MID Server.
Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders to gather clarify and validate requirements.
Develop reports dashboards and performance analytics widgets.
Perform code reviews conduct unit testing and ensure code quality and security.
Maintain comprehensive documentation on configurations customizations and system architecture.
Document all development work for future reference and knowledge sharing.
Work effectively in a team environment.
Communicate clearly and professionally both orally and in writing.
Participate in Agile/Scrum development cycles and sprints.
5 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field.
Strong knowledge of JavaScript Glide API and ServiceNow scripting best practices.
Experience with ITSM and at least one additional ServiceNow module (e.g. ITOM HRSD SPM Source2Pay).
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS ITSM HRSD Discovery).
Experience with Automated Test Framework (ATF).
Exposure to ServiceNow App Engine and Flow Designer.
Understanding of CMDB and Discovery.
Knowledge of Employee Service Portal and custom widget development.
