Job Description
Atlas Technologies a rapidly expanding company supporting the US Military and other Government entities is seeking a passionate flexible highly motivated team player to join our group of Information Technology professionals. If you are comfortable in intense fast paced environments can think fast on your feet and excel in team-based collaborative efforts then this may be the right fit for you. **THIS IS A 100% REMOTE POSITION**
We are seeking a full-time Firewall Engineer who will independently troubleshoot Enterprise Network issues to ensure continuity of service for our Defense Health Agency (DHA) customers.
Salary Range: $84000 - $126000 depending on experience
You Will:
- Triaging issues and resolving and/or escalating to the appropriate network teams for remediation.
- Engage with internal and external customers to provide status updates on network issues.
- Troubleshooting issues with a variety of different network devices and protocols.
- Working in a team setting and making recommendations related to troubleshooting device configuration and documentation.
- Document projects support actions and other administrative artifacts to serve as reference material for related support activities and management staff.
- Ensuring incidents and service requests adhere to established service level agreements.
- Evaluate circumstances identify root causes and develop a plan for resolution.
- Resolve issues in a timely manner dealing with a variety of different network devices and protocols following applicable reporting formats.
- Support shifts to cover a 24x7 operational environment when required.
You Have:
- U.S. Citizenship.
- A minimum of a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level Security Clearance.
- 6 years relevant experience in supporting a large network infrastructure.
- An understanding of complex networks and be able to utilize the latest practices and principles to resolve issues.
- A strong working knowledge with Cisco Routers/Switches Palo Alto Firewalls and F5 Network devices.
- A solid understanding of TCP/IP regarding routing and subnetting.
- The ability to work in a dynamic high paced team environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with the following Network protocols and services:
- Routing Protocols (OSPF BGP)
- Access Control Lists
- Layer 2 Switching
- Spanning Tree
- Packet Analysis
Required Certifications:
- A baseline Security Certification: (CySA GICSP GSEC Security CE or SCCP).
- Operating Environment Certification: Cisco (CCNA or CCNP) or Palo Alto certification.
Wed be Impressed if You Had:
A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
