As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and community banking technology team youlead multiple teams and manage day-to-day implementation activities by identifying and escalating issues and ensuring your teams work adheres to compliance standards business requirements and tactical best practices.
Job responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of mobile developers providing guidance mentorship and support to ensure high-quality project delivery
- Oversee the entire mobile application development lifecycle from concept to deployment ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities
- Sets the overall guidance and expectations for team output practices and collaboration
- Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements
- Manages stakeholder relationships and the teams work in accordance with compliance standards service level agreements and business requirements
- Creates a culture of diversity equity inclusion and respect for the team members and prioritizes diverse representation
- Advocate for and implement continuous improvement practices including code refactoring and process enhancements.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification in Software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience
- Experience in native mobile development for either Android or iOS.
- Experience leading technology projects.
- Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods.
- Proficient in Java and Kotlin for Android or Swift for iOS.
- Expert in architecture patterns such as MVVM MVP and Clean Architecture.
- Proficient in reactive programming using RxJava Coroutines and Flow for Android or Combine for iOS.
- Experience with networking technologies including RESTful APIs Retrofit and OkHttp.
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD Application Resiliency and Security.
- Understand mobile applications performance tuning profiling tools and optimization techniques.
- Mentor and guide junior developers providing technical support and knowledge sharing.

- Experience working at code level
