Job Description

WHAT YOULL DO

As a Retail Operations Controller (Area Controller) you will work close to the core of our business Our Stores. Your main objective will be to drive sales and profitability growth in the stores of your area. Additionally you ll identify business opportunities and together with the Area Team you will implement strategies to increase the shopping experience in the stores securing that sale efficiency and profit targets are reached.  

You will:

  • Set budget for sales efficiency KPIs and store costs in line with the country goals
  • Work proactively and forecast selling and costs development for the coming months and take necessary actions
  • Support stores in financial sales planning accuracy with the aim to improve efficiency and service levels
  • Set hourly function plan with Store Management to enable strong store operations efficiency and Great Customer Experience
  • Make frequent store visits to align the analysis with the reality in stores
  • Follow up and act on the Salary Cost development in your area seeking each for opportunities to optimize these. You are aware of the Shop Costs deviations and together with relevant functions you initiate corrective actions accordingly.
  • Educate store management team on operational best practices and ensure that the setup of the store is optimized to deliver great customer experience and high task efficiency.

As a Retail Operations Controller (Area Controller) you will be an integral part of the Area Team working closely with store management team to ensure efficiency and cost control in all stores in your area supporting them to deliver a great customer experience in line with the countrys objectives. In a collaborative way of working with key stakeholders you will get the chance to use your competence to affect and ensure controlling strategies and drive store performance.

WHO YOU ARE

We are looking for people with

  • Strong analytical skills and customer centric mindset
  • Passionate about retail and developing the customer experience in-store
  • MS Office skills (Excel knowledge on a very good level)
  • Fluent knowledge of Greek and English written and spoken
  • University degree within business finance or other related academic field can be consider as an advantage

And people who are

  • Able to plan prioritize monitor and respond to changes quickly and effectively
  • Clear and inspiring in communication with excellent organizational time management and presentation skills
  • Well-structured and able to drive goals forward with a proactive mindset
  • Communicating in an inspiring and clear way with ability to influence others

This is a full-time position based in Athens Greece. The Retail Operations Controller (Area Controller) reports to the Area Manager.
