Position Summary: As a Commercial Flooring Project Manager your role is crucial in overseeing and managing the execution of commercial flooring projects from start to finish. You are responsible for coordinating all aspects of the flooring installation process to ensure that the project is completed efficiently on time and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.
Performance Requirements: The job will typically require the employee to meet the following primary performance requirements.
Critically assesses project opportunities to establish a project schedule based on clients completion date expectation project scope building conditions and manufacturing lead times. Continuously monitor project status against the project schedule.
Supervise internal and external delivery and installation crews with the daily delivery and installation of products to and in customer facilities to achieve safe clean and damage free installations.
Schedules delivery to accommodate efficient installation with Franklin Operations Site Managers and installers. Communicates with general contractors and building trade subcontractors to schedule flooring installation in coordination with other construction activities.
Coordinates and communicates project scope or product purchase changes and additions to accommodate clients expectations and timing demands.
Ensure planning and prevention measures prior to installation by scheduling meetings with the installation service provider and appropriate client representative as well as a final site-visit.
Resolves unforeseen problems such as incorrect product shipments missing products and spec errors by involving design staff locating needed inventory among Franklin Interiors stock from local distribution or by expediting emergency shipment from the manufacturer.
Resolves punch list issues.
Continuously develops measures and modifies project scheduling documentation and communications processes to improve project outcomes in terms of profitability customer satisfaction and retention.
Accountable for safe clean and damage free installations as well as understanding and enforcing jobsite safety.
Accurately completes all required written documentation including punch lists change orders returned product forms and attains proper customer signoffs and approvals on delivery tickets punch lists and change orders.
Evaluates and communicates project status daily and communicates crew/individual performance to Flooring Director of Operations.
Conducts on-site problem solving and strives to meet all labor hours and financial goals on assigned projects.
Plans project installation time and crew size at Pre-install meeting prioritizes and assigns project tasks while effectively utilizing assistants as necessary.
Communicate with internal and external staff contractors and client representatives during installation. Interfaces with designated customer representative so that problems encountered and pressure situations are transparent.

Job Specifications:
Education and Training: A minimum of two years of formal education in business and/or office procedures or equivalent fieldwork experience.
Work Related Experience: A minimum of two years industry related experience preferably in project administration and/or management within the commercial construction industry. Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

Ability to read blueprints and installation drawings.
Excellent planning and organizational skills are required to handle multiple priorities.
Proficiency in software tools which assist in communications scheduling and analysis is critical (word processing spreadsheet software takeoff programs and ERP systems).
Strong written and verbal communications and relationship building skills to communicate effectively with and gain cooperation from a wide range of internal and external contacts.
Strong analytical problem solving and decision-making skills.
Knowledge of Flooring business processes and business operations.
