ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Learn how to respond to visual and oral signals from customers and fellow employees.
- Learn how to pitch cards handle money efficiently and professionally handle chips.
- Conduct gambling games such as Blackjack House Poker and Baccarat.
- Manipulate cards chips and gaming devices such as roulette wheels and craps sticks accurately.
- Keep track of the game and players actions.
- Perform quick basic math calculations including addition subtraction multiplication and division to accept bets pay winners and collect from losers.
- Responsible for the protection and control of the game being dealt.
- Maintain a superior and courteous atmosphere providing the customer with a pleasant gaming experience.
- Maintain effective working relationships and good customer service skills with all guests and employees. Provides personal attention and assistance to customers by verifying customer winnings and explaining gaming rules and regulations. Acts to keep customers satisfied and motivated to return regardless of whether they win or lose.
- Wears and maintains all uniforms properly including nametag and gaming license.
- Maintains alertness for the performance of all responsibilities and a general awareness of casino operations at all times. Verifies customers are 21 years of age or older.
- After completion of a 90-day introductory period you must complete training for Roulette to continue employment. Once this training is completed Dealers are eligible for promotion to Dual Rate Supervisor. Supervising is a requirement of full-time employment.
- Performs duties in compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act internal policies and procedures Internal Control Minimum Procedures Colorado Limited Gaming Regulations. Includes special attention to underage gaming as well as recommendations to Table Games Supervisors in reference to alcohol consumption by patrons.
- Regular and reliable attendance is a fundamental requirement of this position. Employees are expected to be punctual and consistently present during their scheduled work hours to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the business.
- Performs other duties including special projects as needed and directed.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to stand for an entire work shift with standard breaks. Possess excellent customer service skills and uphold 4-star standards. Demonstrated ability in performing basic math including addition subtraction multiplication and division.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Graduation from high school or equivalent.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Able to communicate clearly and tactfully. Demonstrated effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills using English.
CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS: Must have a valid and current State of Colorado Gaming License. Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES: Must have a willingness to learn and a positive attitude.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Essential duties involve performing physical exertion including dexterity with cards brisk walking climbing stairs stooping bending stretching reaching pushing and standing for an entire work shift with standard breaks. Essential duties require lifting up to 30 pounds and working any day of the week any shift of the day with additional hours occasionally required.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
$14.81 an hour
