Description

Title:Esports Coach First Person Action Games stipend position

Responsibilities:The Esports Coach First Person Action Games at Central Maine Community College will oversee the day-to-day operations and coaching of first-person action games (Call of Duty Valorant Overwatch 2 Apex Legends) in CMCCs state-of-the-art Esports Arena. Competing in ECAC and MECA this role involves coordinating practices and matches providing one-on-one instruction to improve player skills and team strategy and maintaining a flexible schedule with practices and competitions held primarily in the evenings. The coach will recruit prospective students manage events such as tournaments and camps and promote the program via social media and live streaming platforms like Twitch and YouTube. Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting gaming equipment coordinating with Athletics and IT staff for arena updates transporting players to events and ensuring compliance by submitting rosters and match results to the Athletics office.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates degree
  • Experience coaching esports at the high school or collegiate level
  • Experience with multiplayer games and team-based tactics
  • Proficiency with Discord Twitch OBS Studio and Canva is a plus
  • Valid drivers license and able to operate CMCC registered vehicles to and from events
