Youll help make sure our numbers tell the real story that our processes support our goals and that our teams have the right information to make smart decisions. This role blends core financial responsibilities (reporting variance analysis A/R) with operational analytics (sales data tracking and CRM insights). Key Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis & Sales Reporting:
- Perform financial modelling budget forecasting variance analysis and other ad-hoc financial statements to inform strategic decisions.
- Track and analyze revenue expenses and profitability across different business units.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial sales and operating reports for leadership highlighting financial trends and opportunities for optimisation.
- Support accurate forecasting pipeline health reporting and overall Rev Ops initiatives.
Accounting & AR Management:
- Own bookkeeping tasks including transaction records expense tracking and categorization in accounting tools.
- Manage and prepare regulatory tax filings (e.g. GST/HST corporate income tax).
- Prepare and present Consolidated Financial Statements ensuring compliance and audit readiness.
- Handle end-to-end AR billings and collections processes to support strong cash flow.
- Reconcile accounts and support revenue recognition and financial compliance.
- Analyze operating results against budgets and KPIs.
Data & KPI Analysis:
- Ensure clean data flows into dashboards and reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop and maintain dashboards to track company-wide KPIs and other performance metrics.
- Partner with the sales team to maintain reliable data in HubSpot helping them stay accountable to their targets and making it easier to measure what matters.
- Provide detailed quantitative analysis and trend insights across sales marketing product and operations to support data-driven decisions across the business.
What Were Looking For:
Must-Haves
- 2-3 years of experience in financial analysis FP&A Accounting or similar roles.
- University degree in Business Finance or Accounting is required.
- Strong attention to detail and a bias for action.
- Proven ability to perform variance analysis financial modelling and budget forecasting.
- Hands-on experience in core accounting tasks such as AR/AP tracking reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Experience using CRMs like HubSpot to pull reports and analyze sales data.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel (lookups pivots formulas modelling) Google Sheets and financial modelling tools to create and maintain complex Excel models.
- Adaptable team player who thrives in cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to communicate complex data insights in a clear and actionable manner.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada and must reside and be available to work standard business hours in the Eastern Time Zone (ET).
Nice-to-Haves
- Prior experience in a startup or scale-up environment.
- Progress toward CPA certification (enrolled or working towards) is a significant advantage.
