Job Title: Lead Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer
Required Language: English
Working Hours per Week: 40 hours
Job Type: Hybrid Onsite in Markham Ontario Canada
Assignment Duration in Months:long-term contract

About the Position
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Lead Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer to join a dynamic and collaborative team. In this role you will be at the heart of designing developing and configuring complex Guidewire solutions. Your technical expertise and leadership will play a key role in supporting the team and mentoring junior developers while delivering robust solutions for the property and casualty insurance sector.

Requirements and Technical Skills

- Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science Computer Engineering or a related fieldor equivalent experience
- Minimum of 9 years of proven experience in Guidewire application development
- Expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter configuration (mandatory)
- Knowledge of Guidewire BillingCenter configuration (a plus)
- Strong skills in GOSU language and experience using Guidewire tools and accelerators Guidewire Batch and predefined plugins
- Proficiency in Agile software development using Git Bitbucket Jenkins Jira Confluence etc.
- Solid understanding of the Property & Casualty insurance domain
- Guidewire Cloud Certification is required
- 7 years of hands-on experience with Guidewire development
- 7 years of experience coding RESTful APIs

Objectives and Deliverables
- Analyze software requirements efficiently
- Design system architecture and technical documentation
- Define screens business rules and workflow updates
- Write configure package and deploy Guidewire code
- Implement and maintain coding standards
- Perform unit testing and debugging
- Participate in peer code reviews
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to team growth

Key Responsibilities
- Develop robust solutions within Guidewire PolicyCenter
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine functional requirements
- Provide technical expertise throughout the development lifecycle
- Support and guide junior team members
- Ensure high standards of code quality performance and security

Assets
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies
- Ability to read and reverse-engineer code in other languages
- Team-oriented mindset with leadership capabilities
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
