Job Summary:
Xylem is hiring an Outside Sales Representative to sell the Godwin Flygt and Goulds equipment brands in the northern MN territory. The OSR is responsible for developing and implementing rental and new equipment sales strategies to grow the companys customer base and increase revenue. They will identify and pursue new rental and sales opportunities build and maintain relationships with existing clients and present products or services to potential customers. The role involves conducting market research preparing sales reports and meeting sales targets. The Outside Sales Representatives must have excellent communication and negotiation skills as well as the ability to work independently and manage their sales territory effectively.
Responsibilities:
Sales
Develop and maintain relationships with customers
Promote and sell rental products and services
Identify and pursue new business opportunities
Meet and exceed sales targets
Provide excellent customer service
Customer Service
Assist customers with inquiries and concerns
Handle customer complaints and find satisfactory resolutions
Ensure customer satisfaction with rental experience
Inventory Management
Maintain accurate inventory records
Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
Place orders for new rental products as needed
Monitor and track rental equipment movement
Contract Management
Create and manage rental contracts
Ensure all contracts are accurate and complete
Collect necessary payments and deposits
Handle contract extensions modifications and terminations
Administrative Tasks
Process rental reservations and payments
Maintain and update customer and rental records
Generate reports on rental activity and sales performance
Assist with other administrative tasks as needed
Safety and Maintenance
Ensure rental products are in safe and working condition
Conduct regular maintenance checks and schedule repairs as needed
Provide safety instructions and guidelines to customers
Maintain a clean and organized rental area

Qualifications:
A bachelors degree in degree in business economics finance or a related field with at least 2 years experience or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories principles and concepts.
Proven experience in business development or a similar analytical role.
Strong proficiency in CRM and business management software such as Salesforce and ProWorkflow.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
A track record of identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities.
Salary range:
