POSITION OVERVIEW
This position is responsible for the development improvement and adherence to manufacturing processes on the floor in the manufacturing departments focused on managing start-up activities (including FTOs). Managing start-up activities in this role includes providing hands-on support during FTOs and start-ups running the weekly Plant FTO Meetings running weekly reports to support the FTO processes and working on root cause investigations. This role will work with internal and external stakeholders to manage and improve the FTO process at FMC to successfully deliver business results from Commercialization Innovation CCI CAAPs and optimization initiatives. The goal will be to deliver speed to market business objectives establish process capability and to deliver vertical start up objectives by using best practice tools to build capability.
Responsibilities for this position include record keeping and data collection audit processes centerline development and systems reporting. The successful candidate will collect and analyze data on line performance for process improvement and problem solving for downtime reduction. Other requirements are to assist with key loss point analysis and assist Engineers with the development of new procedures and edits to existing procedures and validate temporary procedure changes. The Process Technician will coordinate PDCA activity and participate in cross-functional team meetings. This position will also act as a training resource for new or updated procedures and for validation of job-in-series upgrades while assisting the Training Manager as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate day-to-day activities to ensure on time execution of FTOs.
Use SAP and Excel to produce weekly reports regarding FTO schedule and other aspects
Complete FTO preparation duties in a timely matter including creation of STOs (Stock Transfer Orders) for all Dry Blend FTOs entering FTO data into Lotus Notes including Lead time offset updates and entering new products into RedZone.
Provide hands-on support and data collection during FTOs and Start-up activities.
Assist a team of Technicians to maintain and create standard documentation for the FTO related operations in the plant ensuring uniformity across departments. Critically analyzes processes/systems/practices to identify current gaps and opportunities for improvement.
Work with Project Engineering and Comprehensive Continuous Improvement to set appropriate
documentation standards for ease of use in developing training documentation for plant staff.
Participate in documentation to support Preventative Maintenance Autonomous Maintenance focused improvement and quality systems.
Support new plant startups providing personal technical expertise and process team support.
Conduct root cause investigations on process failures and yield losses related to first time orders
Establish and grow partnership with all operators across all FMC processes and R&D (Research & Dev) Team (to maintain-and enhance-effective ways of working).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 3 year of dry blending experience.
Strong analytical ability required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Microsoft Excel and SAP.
Proven ability to train and lead others required.
Demonstrated process improvement ability and leadership skills required.
Strong interpersonal skills required.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form required
Ability to work overtime/weekends required.
Flexible work schedule to support on-site FTO execution including occasional support during 2nd and 3rd shift.
Ability to work cross functionally in a team environment required
PAPR/Respirator use required
