The 911 Senior Manager Cyber & Data Information is responsible for managing full-time employees and all facets of the province-wide 911 cyber and data systems. As Manager you will ensure the development and enhancement of our existing programs working towards continuous improvements. We count on your expertise to ensure a smooth transition to Next Generation 911 (NG911) ensuring all IT and security requirements are met.
Primary Accountabilities
As Senior Manager of Cyber & Data Information we count on your expertise to ensure the delivery of a high-quality and reliable 911 service as we transition to NG911. You will achieve this by:
- Managing the provincial 911 Cyber & Data security systems and leading enhancements of existing programs.
- Leading the delivery of technology transitions and continual service improvement of 911 services.
- Bringing high-quality technical capabilities and lenses to drive transformation.
- Developing and delivering change management plans and achieving outcomes that support the departments and the governments overall strategy.
- Providing exceptional leadership and support to 911 Division team members and ensuring policies and procedures are communicated and executed consistently.
- Managing human resources including interviewing selection and hiring activities; training new and existing employees; planning assigning and directing work; and performance management.
- Collaborating with the director on division financial requirements and annual budget reporting.
Qualifications and Experience
This may be the right opportunity for you if you have a College/University degree in information technology information systems or any other related field; Engineering IT Computer Science or Cybersecurity and several years of progressive experience leading cyber and data security projects. In addition you:
- Are familiar with telecommunications 911 software and infrastructure
- Understanding of software architecture diagrams utilized for telecommunication systems
- Demonstrate excellent collaboration interpersonal and communication skills
- Have experience with project management risk management/mitigation principles and practices
- Experience working within complex systems and unionized environments
- Have the ability to lead complex projects to achieve objectives and build rapport with senior leaders across all levels
- Experience providing advice and direction on IT security infrastructure strategic capability gaps and issues and overall organizational design for Infrastructure Security Operations; or
- Experience making strategic improvements to security operations and their integration points to service management functions; or
- Experience making strategic decisions on security program architecture projects and operations; or
- Cyber threat intelligence; or
- Artificial intelligence concerning cybersecurity; or
- Cyber risk assessment and mitigation; or
- Emerging technologies; or
- Conceptual and strategic thinking with cyber security future trends; or
- Network penetration testing and ethical hacking; or
- Cybersecurity operations; or
- Cyber defence layers
- Inspire creativity and motivate people and teams.
- Have a valid Canadian Drivers License.
The following are considered assets:
- Certificate in Project Management
- Experience and/or knowledge of Enhanced 911 and Next Generation 911 (NG911) call-handling solutions.
- Understanding of telecommunication infrastructure cyber and data security requirements.
- Proficient using Microsoft Visio Software

Working Conditions
This role is in a fast-paced decision-making environment. Your normal work week is 35 hours/week 7 hours/day. This role does entail a high volume of work which may require longer than normal working hours and overtime. You may be required to travel to work site locations.
Due to the multiple spheres of action and scope of responsibilities that this position requires there is significant mental pressure which requires resilience. Analyzing many ongoing projects will require a quick turnaround.
In an emergency/disaster situation you are obligated to work and will be called upon to return to work with little or no notice. These situations usually include stressful conditions (physical emotional and mental pressure) in the Provincial Coordination Centre (PCC) for unknown periods of time. During emergencies you will be required to be available to report to work 24/7/365.
Additional Information
This position requires a Federal Security clearance to the level of Secret and requires taking appropriate training related to supporting an Emergency Operations Centre during times of emergencies.

Pay Grade: EC 12
Salary Range: $3760.89- $4701.11Bi-Weekly
