Purpose and Objective:
Ariba Inc. seeks a Senior Developer at our Palo Alto CA location to be responsible for development focusing on design coding testing and quality assurance of specific SAP product features in a development team.
Expectations and Tasks:
Accelerate the innovation and delivery of SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance product. Collaborate with product managers Developers and QA engineers to expand the Ariba Cloud to cover every corner of the globe. Work on High impact scalable internet-level problems and complex business problems. Utilize Ariba Cloud technologies: Java Angular SAP UI5 SAP Cloud platform Docker Kubernetes and Hana DB. Work in core components for the Ariba cloud that include persistence meta-data model object model framework customization framework UI frameworks. Analyze and solve issues in existing and new code. Design activities include requirements analysis and design documentation. Implementation activities include implementation testing and integration. Maintenance activities include error analysis and removal. Extends modifies or adapts existing designs but may also be involved in the development of new (sub-) systems. If acting as Scrum Master in the LEAN context responsible for promoting and supporting Scrum by helping everyone understand Scrum theory practices rules and values. Serve as servant-leader for the Product Owner and the Development Team. Facilitate Scrum Events on request or as . Coach the Development Team in self-organization. Remove impediments to the Development Teams progress.
Education and Occupational Experience:
Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or a related field of study and six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively a Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:
Experience must involve four (4) years in the following:
Develop and implement applications including SAP ABAP and Java;
Build scalable and complex applications;
Infrastructure platforms including Google Cloud providers;
Database expertise with SAP HanaDB;
Test case framework expertise including Junit;
Test scalable web applications;
Design complex applications using SAP frameworks; and
Implement SAP build and deployment processes

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $151079 - $234344. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAPs commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $156700 - $266300. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education skills experience scope of the role location etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
