TITLE: 21ST CENTURY ASSISTANT SITE COORDINATOR INTERNAL PUSD APPLICANTS ONLY
DEPARTMENT: Office of Curriculum Instruction and Assessment
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate for grade level and subject.
- Bachelors Degree (or higher) from accredited college or university.
- Must possess a valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card.
JOB GOAL:
The 21st Century Assistant Site Coordinator will help facilitate and support the 21st Century Grant to include implementation of the program to meet academic needs attending meetings gathering student data and assisting the 21st Century District Coordinator with reporting requirements. In addition the 21st Century Assistant Site Coordinator works with District staff community partners and other constituents to ensure the programs are meeting the objectives of the 21st Century Grant.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following tasks are essential for this position. This list is not inclusive of all responsibilities. Individuals may not perform all of these tasks or may perform similar related tasks not listed.
- Supports and helps to implement Friday summer and after-school programs at Payson Elementary and Julia Randall Elementary schools.
- Implements grant requirements and components for the related programs.
- Assists in the execution of all required reporting each year.
- Provides input on the design of the program in order to meet the stated academic growth in core subject areas family engagement goals and behavioral goals.
- Collaborates with and assists the District Coordinator and site principal in the implementation of curriculum instruction and assessment programs and monitors the instructional delivery to targeted students as needed.
- Provides input on and assists with lesson plan and activity development as they relate to grant objectives.
- Coordinates with community partners school staff students and other stakeholders with regard to the 21st Century community learning center program as directed by the District Coordinator.
- Assists the District Coordinator in gathering information in support of generating contractor invoices in a timely manner.
- Collects data on student attendance of 21st Century-related programs as requested by the District Coordinator.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE SKILL AND ABILITY:
Knowledge of:
- District policies operations and organization.
- Interpersonal skills including tact courtesy and diplomacy.
- Communication (telephone email etc.) etiquette.
- Knowledge of FERPA and HIPAA.
- Some budgetary/finance principles.
Skill and Ability to:
- Work cooperatively with others.
- Utilize engaging and encouraging communication skills while interacting with supervisors staff students etc. to exchange information.
- Read analyze and interpret written documents.
- Analyze and assess student achievement data.
- Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Flexibly and creatively problem solve.
- Provide excellent customer service.

REPORTS TO: The Director of Curriculum Instruction and Assessment and the site Principal.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the Director of Curriculum Instruction and Assessment and the site Principal in accordance with the provisions of Governing Board policy in evaluation of classified personnel.
TERMS OF
EMPLOYMENT: 12 Months.
SALARY: One time per year stipend in the amount of Seven Thousand Dollars ($7000.00). The payment will be split into two parts and paid at the conclusion of each semester.
FLSA STATUS: Non Exempt.
