Role Summary:
Evernorth Behavioral Health is a growth engine for the Evernorth segment and for the larger Cigna is leading the way to create new health services and bring them to new markets. It is at the forefront of making mental healthcare more accessible and more impactful for the people we serve.
This role will serve as the Behavioral Expense Insights Lead Analyst for Evernorth Behavioral Health and will be responsible for analyzing developing and socializing insights for the behavioral cost of goods sold analysis. This will entail expense financial analysis business insight development and quarterly business reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end cost of goods sold (COGS) modeling and analysis.
Collaborate with business partners in operations network product and strategic execution across both Cigna and Evernorth to collect and understand expense and volume data.
Develop and present key financial and operational insights from COGS analysis to senior leadership that can be leveraged across the organization to make informed product decisions and identify operational efficiency opportunities.
Assist the Behavioral expense controller with quarterly expense financial projections providing COGS assumptions and product level drivers.
Perform ad hoc analysis for key business partners to inform business decisions on organizational structure service model offering vendor contracts etc.
Innovate new ways to analyze expenses that highlight current limitations and opportunities and collaborate on expense-oriented initiatives driven by these findings to achieve Evernorth Behavioral Healths overall financial goals.
Expand current COGS analysis to include new business initiatives and open market solutions such as government contracts and Evernorth Behavioral Care Group to continue to develop the financial insights that can be leveraged by the enterprise.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Finance Math or related field or equivalent relevant work experience
3 years of experience in finance or related fields with a strong track record of success
Experience with Microsoft Excel PowerPoint and Tableau preferred
Goal oriented and personally accountable; resourceful and self-directed
Ability to work in a matrix environment developing strong working relationships with a wide range of business partners
Strong communication skills - written verbal and presentation
