Job Title: Employment Counselor Work for Warriors NC (WFWNC)
Location: Raleigh NC
Reports to: WFWNC Director
Position Summary:
The Employment Counselor supports National Guard Service Members and their families by connecting them to long-term stable employment that aligns with their skills. The role includes employer outreach job training facilitation and database management.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or five (5) years of relevant experience in education counseling workforce programs social services or recruiting.
Experience in project coordination or case management preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a technical expert on employment matters including reintegration after deployment.
Develop and implement individualized job search and training plans.
Conduct employer outreach and maintain a database of job opportunities.
Partner with stakeholders (Recruiting Offices FACs workforce boards) for job fairs and employment referrals.
Administer and analyze career assessments; advise on further training as needed.
Track and document client progress referrals job placements and follow-ups.
Ensure data entry and reporting is completed by close of business daily.
