TITLE: Campus Visitor Coordinator

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Campus Visitor Coordinator plays a pivotal role in creating exceptional first impressions of Lake Area Technical College. As the Chief Hospitality Officer for LATC this position is responsible for coordinating all campus visit experiencesincluding individual and group tours recruitment events and overnight staysand supporting broader admissions and campus visitor functions. The individual in this role must be welcoming highly organized and able to represent the college with professionalism and enthusiasm.

This position manages the daily operations of the Welcome Center supports admissions recruitment activities and serves as a key liaison between prospective students families industry partners and campus personnel. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced student-focused environment and is committed to delivering outstanding customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates degree or higher required.
  • Knowledge of LATCs programs services and mission a plus.
  • Experience in higher education setting customer service hospitality sales event planning or related fields.
  • Flexibility to work evenings weekends early mornings according to guest schedules.
  • Strong public speaking and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact across multiple audiences.
  • Frequent interaction with faculty staff students and external guests.
  • Ability to multitask prioritize responsibilities and manage time efficiently will be required along with working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with scheduling.
  • Demonstrated professionalism discretion and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with social media tools and basic marketing strategies.
  • Involves physical movement for event setups campus tours and visitor support. Must be able to lift materials up to 25 pounds and walk long distances.

A REPORTS TO: Dean of Student Services and Vice President

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the primary greeter facilitator and tour guide to all guests coming to Lake Area Techs campus. This includes greetings visitors on their arrival and accommodating their requests in a warm professional and knowledgeable manner.
  • Schedule coordinate and personally conduct individual and group tours including high school visits industry tours and overnight experiences.
  • Develop personalized visit itineraries by collaborating with faculty coaches and staff.
  • Maintain the campus visit calendar and communicate visit details to campus personnel.
  • Prepare digital signage welcome materials parking signage and visit packets for guests.
  • Gather and analyze guest feedback to continuously improve the visit experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness organization and appeal of the front office and front lobby.
  • Coordinate logistics for escorting guests to appointments and rooms arranging accommodations and providing after-hours support in collaboration with Support Operations.
  • Recruit train and supervise Student Ambassadors.
  • Match ambassadors with campus guests based on program interests availability and personality and provide ongoing support mentorship and evaluation of ambassadors.
  • Respond to inquiries from prospective students and families about programs admissions financial aid and student life.
  • Assist the admissions team in planning and executing large-scale admissions events like such as Kickoff Day Campus Camps and Orientations assisting in set up and cleanup.
  • Answer general college inquiries via phone email and the front desk.
  • Track order and maintain customer service/marketing supplies and guest hospitality needs.
  • Submit facility and technology work orders and maintain visit and campus invoices and budgets.
  • Compile monthly quarterly and annual visit statistics and report to LATC administration.
  • Assist Market 65 with food requests and set up and cleanup of special events.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and benefits set by the Watertown School board.
