Clinton Middle School seeks a long term science substitute for Grade 8 Science. Start date is August 26 and the anticipated end date is November 26. This is a 12-week science teaching position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Instructional:Employs a variety of teaching and assessment methods to engage different learning styles and ability levels in the classroomPrepares motivating and stimulating lessons that reflect knowledge of the curriculum child development and student abilitiesEncourages an inclusive classroom that accepts different perspectives and backgrounds of studentsUses data to develop lessons and instructional activities as neededUpdates curriculum curriculum maps and materials as and Learning Environment:Creates a learning environment that is motivating and age-appropriate setting clear expectations for classwork and homework while maintaining current books and instructional resources that support classroom to actively know students strengths and weaknesses; responds promptly to parent effectively with parents colleagues and an accurate and organized system for monitoring student grades and reporting deadlines and requirements and follows school-wide procedures for reporting well-thought-out and thorough conference reports and written documentation on student progress. Attends IEP and 504 meetings as needed. Demonstrates strong classroom management and/or EXPERIENCE:Bachelors degree required; certification or ability to be certified required. Demonstrated ability to build relationships work with a diverse population and support all or familiarity with Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred
