Job Description

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position will serve school lunches provided by the Council Bluffs Community School District for the K-12 students at the Heartland Family Service Therapeutic School.

Compensation: between $13.79 and $16.45 per hour (wage is based on total years of relevant experience)
Work Schedule:
part time 15 hours per week beginning 08/25/2025

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma
  • Nutrition and food preparation experience preferred
  • Valid drivers license acceptable driving record

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • *Serve the school lunches on a daily basis.
  • *Clean kitchen including sweeping and mopping of the floors.
  • *Clean and disinfect tables and kitchen surfaces.
  • *Abide by all food and safety protocol as required and/or requested.
  • *Promotes supports and demonstrates trauma informed model within the school.
  • *Is dependable and punctual regarding scheduling and attendance.
  • Displays a courteous and caring attitude at all times to the clientele volunteers and visitors of the Agency.
  • Cooperates and collaborates with program area staff volunteers and other Agency staff.
  • Abides by all specific program and Agency procedures policies and requirements.
  • Develops personal and program related skills through participation in internal and external training opportunities including printed material and audio and/or visual media.
  • *Creates maintains and shares an appropriate dynamic self-care plan.
  • *Strives to make connections between the agency and the larger community whenever possible in order to contribute to the agencys ongoing fundraising and friend-raising efforts.
  • *Essential functions of this job are to be performed on company physical work site.
  • Performs other program related duties as assigned.
