Job Description

Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) Engineer Advanced Aerospace Systems

We are a pioneering aerospace technology company developing advanced automation systems designed to improve safety efficiency and reliability in modern aviation. Our cross-functional team brings together expertise from aerospace robotics and autonomous vehicles to shape the future of air transportation.

As a GNC Engineer you will play a pivotal role in designing and testing high-integrity control systems for uncrewed and autonomous aircraft. This position involves full lifecycle ownership from system architecture through flight testing as part of a collaborative mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define system-level GNC requirements and architecture alongside engineering operations and certification teams.

  • Design algorithms for navigation and guidance that integrate with flight control systems and pilot interfaces

  • Develop implement and validate GNC software in simulation and onboard flight systems.

  • Analyze data from simulations hardware-in-the-loop tests and live flight operations.

  • Evaluate system behavior and performance using test frameworks and flight data.

  • Prepare technical documentation to communicate system functionality to both technical and regulatory stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering Electrical Engineering Computer Science or a related field

  • 3 years of experience in guidance navigation control systems or flight dynamics modeling

  • Proficiency in C/C and Python for real-time and simulation environments

  • Strong communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters or PhD in a relevant engineering discipline

  • Specialization in motion planning probabilistic methods or control theory

  • Experience with safety-critical software systems

  • Familiarity with FAA certification processes

  • Pilot credentials (instrument or commercial rating)
