Summary:
Seeking a Cloud Engineer with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure to lead efforts in system reliability scalability and performance optimization. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Azure services automation and monitoring while also being comfortable in multi-cloud environments.
Core Responsibilities:
- Monitoring & Alerting:
Deploy and manage advanced monitoring systems-especially within Azure (Azure Monitor Log Analytics EventHub)-to ensure proactive detection and resolution of infrastructure issues. - Performance Tuning:
Analyze and improve system performance with a focus on Azure infrastructure to ensure high availability minimal latency and resource efficiency. - Automation & IaC:
Automate deployments and scaling using scripting (PowerShell Python Bash) and Infrastructure as Code-especially using ARM Bicep and Terraform-to standardize Azure resource provisioning. - Capacity & Growth Planning:
Use Azure-native tools to forecast usage track costs and scale infrastructure based on business growth needs. - Collaboration & Troubleshooting:
Partner with development and operations teams to identify resolve and prevent Azure-related issues driving continuous improvement in platform reliability. - Documentation:
Create and maintain documentation on Azure architecture operational processes and incident management protocols.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience:
3 years in a Cloud Engineer DevOps or SRE role with demonstrated hands-on work in Azure environments. - Cloud Expertise:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Azure (preferred) with additional exposure to AWS and GCP considered a plus. - Automation & IaC:
Scripting (PowerShell highly preferred) and experience with Terraform ARM templates and Bicep for Azure resource automation. - Monitoring Tools:
Hands-on with Azure Monitor Prometheus Grafana PowerBI and Nagios for enterprise-grade observability. - Networking & Security:
Deep knowledge of network protocols DNS load balancing and IAM-specifically Azure Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID SAML OIDC and OAuth 2.0. - CI/CD & Source Control:
Experience building and managing Azure-based CI/CD pipelines with Git/GitHub or Azure DevOps. - Certifications (Preferred):
Azure Administrator Associate Azure DevOps Engineer Expert or other Microsoft cloud certifications.
