Job Description

All educators hired by Middletown Public Schools must provide Certification of demonstrated Proficiency or Awareness in Science of Reading and Structured Literacy appropriate to the work assignment.1. Appropriate Rhode Island Certification. 2. Relevant credentials. 3. Relevant successful experience. 4. Support a vision that reflects an ALL STUDENTS classroom program. 5. Demonstrate knowledge of subject area. 6. Ability to work with colleagues parents students and administrators. 7. Ability to know and utilize technology in the teaching and learning process. 8. Knowledge of curriculum standards and performance assessment. 9. Support the graduation by proficiency requirements.10. Experience in a co-teaching model.11. Familiar with Music Learning Theory as applied to the general music classroom curriculum.12. Collaborate with other fine arts colleagues K-12 in common district efforts.13. Provide leadership for instructionally-based student activities and events.14. Deliver a proficiency-based music instructional program that incorporates music standards.15. Excellent oral and written communication skills.16. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.17. Positive attitude.18. Successful interview.19. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Screening Committee may find appropriate.
